SIALKOT: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa Monday said Indian aggression or misadventure will get a befitting response. Gen Bajwa visited the Line of Control (LoC) and Working Boundary in Khuiratta and Ratta Arayan sectors, ISPR said in a statement. “Our commitment to abide by the ceasefire agreement of 2003 should never be misconstrued as response limitation,” he said. The army chief also appreciated the effective and responsible response of troops to India's unethical targeting and high morale of troops and civilians. Hailing the heroic determination of the local population, he gave directions for enhanced protective measures including the construction of more community shell protection shelters, said the ISPR. Local commanders briefed the COAS about the Indian cease fire violations, specifically the targeting of civil population across the Line of Control and Working Boundary. Commander Rawalpindi Corps, Lieutenant General Nadeem Raza, Commander Gujranwala Corps, Lieutenant General Amir Abbasi were also present during the visit.
