Badminton body elects office-bearers

ISLAMABAD: Nisar Ahmad Shahwani and Wajid Ali Chaudhry were elected as president and secretary general of the Pakistan Badminton Federation respectively in elections held in Lahore on Saturday.
The units which participated in the election meeting were Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Islamabad, AJK, Gilgit Baltistan, Wapda, Railways, Pakistan Badminton Technical Association plus women and individual members.
Other office-bearers who were elected on Saturday are Muhammad Razzaq Gill (chairman), Tayyab Sohail (senior vice president), Hammad Hassan Mirza, Pervez Habib Butt, Mrs Zarina Waqar (vice presidents), Iftikhar Hussain (treasurer), Raja Azhar Mehmood (joint secretary), Amjad Wali and Ms Farah (executive members).
