LAHORE: Secretary Sports Punjab Muhammad Aamir Jan has welcomed the players of hockey World XI in Pakistan.
In a statement on Saturday, Secretary Sports Punjab has expressed his hope that more international teams will tour Pakistan after the World XI. He said the tour of World XI will be a great encouragement for hockey lovers and young players as well. “The tour of world repute hockey players will definitely pave way for more international hockey competitions in Pakistan,” he added.
Secretary Sports said: “Pakistan has blessed with plenty of hockey talent and our young players will learn a lot from the visiting world hockey stars”. He said the trip of World XI will serve as a doorway for other teams to visit Pakistan. “The tour by the World XI will hopefully lead to resumption of a regular international hockey in our country,” he expressed his hope.
