LAHORE: Sports Board Punjab is going to build a boxing ring in Multan in near future. “A decision has also been taken to lay a top standard astro-turf in Multan hockey stadium; this was stated by Secretary Sports Punjab Aamir Jan while addressing a key meeting in Multan on Saturday.
Divisional Sports Officer Rana Nadeem Anjum, all TSOs of Multan Division and other top officials also attended the meeting. The progress of sports venues in Multan Division was reviewed during the high-profile meeting. Secretary Sports Punjab Aamir Jan was given a detailed briefing about the construction work at various under-construction sports facilities.
Aamir Jan said the talented hockey players of Multan will get this gift in near future. “The game of hockey and boxing will flourish in south Punjab after the construction of these sports facilities,” he added. Secretary Sports Punjab Muhammad Aamir Jan also visited several under-construction sports venues in Multan on Saturday. During his visit, Aamir Jan inspected the development work at Sports Gymnasium, E-Library, floodlit cricket ground etc.
Divisional Sports Officer Rana Nadeem Anjum, TSOs and contractors were also with him during the inspection visit. Concerned staff briefed Secretary Sports Punjab Aamir Jan about the status of work at under-construction sports projects.
Aamir Jan observed the quality of work at various parts of Multan sports projects. He issued strict instructions to complete the remaining work on sports venues as early as possible and improve the quality of work at the said venues.
