LAHORE: On the directions of IGP Captain Arif Nawaz Khan (retd) a massive crackdown on criminals and anti- social elements is going on in all districts of Punjab. Faisalabad Police have detained many culprits involved in child abuse, murder, acid throwing and ransom with other culpable crimes.
Faisalabad City Police Officer Athar Ismail during a press conference Friday in Police Lines Complex said Muhammad Faizan Shabbir aged 15/16 year went to give meal to his cousin Rizwan Sagheer on January 9, 2018 in the evening but didn’t come back and his body was found buried in the fields. After this incident, investigation teams were constituted and suspicious persons of the village were investigated. Meanwhile two persons Munawar alias ‘Urea’ son of Murtaza and Muddasir son of Yaqub were probed who confessed to their crimes and also confessed to sexual abuse and murder of Faizan Shabbir.
Moreover on refusal of marriage proposal, Muhammad Qasim threw acid on Safia Bibi and was arrested on January 15.
CPO said Amna Shehzadi, 7, was molested and murdered and a criminal was arrested by Chak Jhumra investigation team through scientific-based methods without wasting any time. Another kidnapping case was resolved and Abdullah was recovered who was kidnapped for Rs10million ransom. SSP Operations Rana Muhammad Masoom, SSP Investigation Tauseef Haider, SP CIA Nasir Sial and Iqbal Town SP Mehruz Ali were also present at the press conference. In the end, CPO also announced certificates and cash prizes for officers who solved blind murder and acid throwing cases.
