MINGORA: Special Assistant to Chief Minister for Livestock and Fisheries Mohibullah Khan on Friday inaugurated the milk quality testing Laboratory at Saidu Sharif. Minister for Culture and Irrigation Mehmood Khan, Chairman of District Development Advisory Committee Fazal Hakim Khan, Secretary Livestock and Agriculture Muhammad Israr Khan, Director General Livestock (Extension) Dr Sher Muhammad, Deputy Commissioner of Swat Aamer Afaq and a large number of local elders and officials of various departments attended the function. Speaking on the occasion, Mohibullah Khan said adulterated milk was causing health-related problems in the province. Keeping in view the importance of pure and standard milk, the government earmarked Rs100 million for establishment of the laboratories in the budget. He said these laboratories were being established in all the divisional headquarters of the province. The laboratories would contain one static and one mobile unit at all the headquarters to ensure pure milk on supply and sale points.
