Islamabad: Dr Iftikhar Ahmed Naru has resumed duty as the deputy executive director at the Federal Government Polyclinic, the city's oldest and second largest hospital, after restoration by new Capital Administration and Development Division (CADD) secretary Azhar Ali Chaudhry. Dr Naru was suspended along with some hospital and CADD officials after arrest by the Federal Investigation Agency in September 2016 over the alleged Rs30 million corruption during the procurement of medical supplies for the hospital and alleged irregularities in recruitment. Azhar Ali Chaudhry, who was made the CADD secretary earlier this month, on Tuesday issued orders for the immediate reinstatement of Dr Naru, who was quick to resume duty.
