LAHORE: Pakistan Water and Power Development Authority (Wapda) after winning men’s and women’s team titles, maintained their supremacy in the 55th National Badminton Championship by adding another two titles to their cap. The Wapda players Thursday clinched two more titles in the event. The titles won by Wapda players included women’s singles and men’s doubles. For women’s single title, Mahoor Shahzad of Wapda defeated Palwasha Bashir of National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) 2-0 (21-13 and 21-0). In the final of men’s doubles title, Irfan Saeed and Azeem Sarwar of Wapda defeated Atique Chaudhry and Raja Husnain of Wapda 2-1 (21-14, 21-23 and 24-22). In the final of men’s single Ali Murad of NBP beat Irfan Saeed of Wapda by 2-0 (21-14 and 21-18).
