LAHORE: Thanking the people for the latest by-election result, former prime minister Nawaz Sharif on Wednesday said the victory in Chakwal was his reply to the rivals, telling them that “the nation stands by Nawaz Sharif even today”. He expressed these views during a meeting with Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and PML-N Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chapter chief Amir Muqam at his Jati Umra residence. Nawaz said the victory in the Chakwal by-election was an endorsement of the party’s stance.
