Top stars enter knock-out stage of Jr Snooker
ISLAMABAD: Leading players qualified for the pre-quarterfinals (knock out round stage) at the conclusion of league round matches of Jubilee Insurance Third National Junior U-18 Snooker Championship here at PSB Billiards & Snooker Hall, Islamabad Monday.
Those who have qualified for the pre-quarter finals include M Mudassir Sheikh, Shahzaib Malik, Ahsan Ramzan, M Muzammil Sheikh, M Bilal, Hamza Ilyas, Shehryar Abbas of Punjab, M Rafiq, Malik Muzammil Khan, Kamran Albert Masih of KPK, Sheheryar Khan and M Rafey of Sindh, Yasir Ahmed of Balochistan, Kamran Ch and M Ali Qureshi of Islamabad. In all 32 participated in the six-day mega event being organized by Pakistan Billiards & Snooker Association (PBSA) in collaboration with Jubilee Insurance and Pakistan Sports Board.
Pre-quarter-finals will be played on Tuesday (today) in two sessions. The first session starts at 10.00 am and the second will get under way after lunch at 2.00 pm.Tuesday’s knock-out line-up: Shahzaib Malik (Punjab) vs Malik Muzammil Khan (KP); Shaikh M. Muzammil (Punjab) vs M Rafay (Sindh); Shaikh M. Muddasir (Punjab) vs Sheriyar Khan (Sindh); M Rafiq (KP) vs Kamran Albert (KP).
