The unjust increase in property tax by the Peshawar Development Authority (PDA) has left residents of Hayatabad angry and disappointed. A significant 500-percent increase – from Rs3,000 to Rs16,200 – will add more financial burden on residents.
While the PDA is looking forward to additional revenue through the property tax, the revised rate of tax has left taxpayers in a state of distress and despair. The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government must intervene and reverse the PDA’s decision.
