KARACHI: Defending champions WAPDA and Army booked their places in the finals of both men’s and women’s team events after recording convincing victories over their respective rivals in the semi-finals of the 54th National Table Tennis Championships here at the Majeed Khan Gymnasium of Islamia Club on Sunday.
In the women’s team event semi-finals, WAPDA whacked Punjab 3-0, while Army overwhelmed Sindh 3-0 to qualify for the final. Meanwhile, in the men’s team event semi-finals, WAPDA overpowered National Highway Authority (NHA) 3-0, while Army whipped Higher Education Commission (HEC) 3-0.
