Fata squash player Haris honoured
LANDIKOTAL: Political agent of Khyber Agency Khalid Mehmood arranged a function at his office to honour Fata squash player Haris Khan Shinwari, who won a bronze medal in the Quaid-e-Azam Games held in Islamabad.
Besides squash players and officials from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, a large number of Fata elders and sports lovers attended the function.Speaking on the occasion, Khalid praised the recent performances by Haris in the national and international games. He said for the first time a tribal boy not only participated in the national games but also waved Pakistani flag in other foreign countries.
The official said he would provide morale and financial support not only to Haris but other players from Khyber Agency as well. Haris’ father Asad Khan Shinwari said he was very happy with his son’s success and prayed for his bright future.In the end political agent Khalid Mehmood presented a medal and cash award to Haris Shinwari.
