Ali Mooraj stuns top seed to enter tennis final

KARACHI: Unseeded Ali Mooraj overpowered favourite Nouman Aftab 6-2, 6-1 in the semi-finals of men’s singles event in Grade One Sindh Ranking Tennis Open Championship here at DA Creek Club.In girls Under-17 semi-final, Versha Das beat Zainab by 6-3, 6-2. Versha also cruised into the final of ladies singles. She recovered from a set down in the semi-final to defeat Sehar by 4-6, 6-4, 10-3. She will face Varisha Khan, who thrashed Aysha Yousuf 6-0, 6-0. In Under-15 semi-final, Ashar Mir defeated Asim Gul 6-2, 6-4.
