16 lawyers booked for torturing TMO

DASKA: City police Thursday registered a case against 16 lawyers on charges of torturing the TMO.
According to the case, TMO Malik Zia was present in his office when advocates Asid Sindhu, Mian Nasir, Ijaz Ashraf, Irfan Sahi, Maqbool and ten other lawyers arrived and thrashed him.
In reaction, the TMA employees locked their offices and staged a demonstration on the main road after blocking it.
Water supply was also suspended.
FAKE CHEQUE CASE: Police registered a case against a man for issuing a fake cheque.
Muhammad Boota had given a loan to Tariq Butt. When he demanded the amount back, he gave him a cheque for Rs 130,000. When the cheque was taken to bank it was bounced.
