Unhappy PHF Congress members to hold meeting
ISLAMABAD: A good number of Congress members of Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) belonging to Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Sindh have called important meeting here tomorrow (Wednesday) to take a joint course of action against federation’s January 4 meeting also convened in Islamabad.
A former Olympian, who has also been issued PHF Congress agenda, told ‘The News’ that a meeting has been convened by those genuine members who have serious reservations against the federation’s working.
“We have decided to meet in Islamabad tomorrow to take a collective course of action against the PHF Congress meeting. “It is clearly mentioned in the PHF’s constitution that Congress meeting would be held each year where audited accounts of the federation would be presented. No such meeting was held during the last two years. We have to look into our option before taking future course of action,” one of the members of Congress told ‘The News’.He added that tomorrow’s meeting would be attended by a good number of members from Punjab, KPK and Sindh.
