Landowners want payment

PESHAWAR: The Regi Qaumi Ittehad staged a protest demonstration outside the Peshawar Press Club on Monday and urged the government to provide payment to landowners.
Led by Dr Amad, Dr Nawaz and Rahatullah, the protesters were carrying banners and posters marched on the road. They chanted slogans in favour of their demands.
The protesters warned of expanding the protest if the demands were not accepted. They said that local people, including Wahid Gul, Ghulam Nabi, Haji Javed, Lutfullah and Salim had sold property to the Defence Housing Authority (DHA) without taking them into confidence and received Rs40 million.
