Human trafficking

Human trafficking has engulfed the entire country like a wildfire. The desire to go abroad has become intense due to lack of opportunities in our country. We read heartbreaking stories of the victims who have been exploited by merciless, callous and cruel smugglers. The greed for money rules this illegal trade. Human trafficking is on the rise.

According to a UNDP report, human trafficking is deeply rooted in the country. More than a thousand such illegal networks are working in the country. Less than 2 percent victims make to the promised destination, while the rest of the unfortunate are left at the mercy of the oceans. The silence of the government and human rights organisations is encourage wrongdoers to carry out this heinous activity.
