Eight-year-old victim of violence recovered

LAHOREA RESCUE team of the Child Protection and Welfare Bureau (CPWB) with the help of police recovered an eight-year-old child, a victim of violence, during a raid on a house in Johar Town police limits on Tuesday. Police have registered an FIR No. 224/15 against accused Afshan and Asad Shahzadi.

A RESCUE team of the Child Protection and Welfare Bureau (CPWB) with the help of police recovered an eight-year-old child, a victim of violence, during a raid on a house in Johar Town police limits on Tuesday.
Police have registered an FIR No. 224/15 against accused Afshan and Asad Shahzadi. The victim was identified as Shahzad, son of Razzaq, a resident of Muridke.
Somebody informed the CPWB about the victim child on their Helpline 1121. The victim child lived in a house in F-Block, Johar Town, with two women named Afshan and Asad Shahzadi. He had been living with them for a long time. The accused would torture him. Marks of injury on hands, neck and chest of the child were found on his body.
Saba Sadiq, Chairperson CPWB, told the media that the victim could tell nothing more than the name of his father. They would conduct a medical examination of the child and initiate a legal action against the accused under the Sections of the PPC and PDNC Act, she added. She further said that torturing children was a crime and whoever committed this crime would be held accountable.
Police have taken the accused into custody and are interrogating the matter further.
killers: Johar Town and Shahdara Town police have failed to find any clue to the unidentified accused involved in the killings of a 45-year-old man and a 14-year-old boy.
Johar Town police have registered an FIR No. 222/15 while Shahdara Town police registered an FIR No. 250/15.
Investigation Officer SI Sarwar of Johar Town police told The News that they had yet to find the identity of the deceased.

Dead body of a 45-year-old man was found dumped into a sack in Wafaqi Colony in Johar Town police limits on Monday. Meanwhile, a 14-year-old boy identified as Salman was found dead under mysterious circumstances in a factory in the Shahdara Town police limits.


violations: The City Traffic Police Lahore registered 464 cases on the traffic violations at different police stations during a special campaign in the first two months of the recent year.
Tayyab Hafiz Cheema, Chief Traffic Police Officer (CTO), said they registered 90 cases on dangerous driving, eight on wheelie, 13 on the violation of one-way traffic, 284 on causing disturbance in the flow of traffic, 23 on illegal encroachments, four cases on establishing illegal parking stands on roads, 18 against beggary and 24 on different other violations.
The CTO ordered all the SPs and DSPs to maintain an uninterrupted flow of traffic at every cost. He asked wardens to educate citizens about the traffic laws too while performing their duty. He further asked them to keep an eye on the suspicious persons and things.
Kite maker arrested: Wahdat Colony police claimed to have arrested an accused during a raid at a kite-making factory and recovered hundreds of kites from his custody on Tuesday.
The arrested accused was identified as Nadeem Khan. He manufactured kites at his factory secretly. Police raided the factory on a tip-off. They recovered hundreds of kites and twine.
passengers held: The FIA Immigration officials of Lahore on Tuesday arrested four passengers from the Allama Iqbal Airport Lahore on the charges of fake documents.
The Immigration officials arrested one Muhammad Muddassar as stamps on his passport had been washed. Similarly, one Abrar Hussain, Shafqat Mustafa and Ch Muhammad Ashraf were arrested as their names were mentioned in the black list category. All were handed over to the Anti Human Trafficking Cell (AHTC) of the FIA Lahore for further investigations.
Meanwhile, AHTC of the FIA Lahore on Tuesday arrested one human smuggler named Muhammad Irfan who was a Proclaimed Offender in a case No 211/2014 of the FIA Lahore. Further investigations are underway.
