ISLAMABAD: The local administration is considering requesting the interior ministry to place Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) leader Dr Tahirul Qadri's name on the Exit Control List (ECL), sources told Geo News on Sunday. Sources said the administration has also prepared a report on the cases and judicial proceedings on Qadri. Five cases have been registered against the PAT leader, among which three are registered under anti-terrorism clauses. An anti-terrorism court (ATC) has issued a permanent warrant against Qadri, and also ordered for confiscating his properties, sources said. Unlike Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan, the Pakistan Awami Tehreek leader has not yet taken bail from the court in the cases. Meanwhile, the schedule for meeting between PTI Chairman Imran Khan and head of PAT Dr Tahirul Qadri has been set on Dec 26 at Minhajul Quran in Model Town area. Imran will arrive at the secretariat at 2pm on Tuesday. The two leaders will discuss matters pertaining to All Parties Conference, called by Qadri over the post-Baqir Najfi judicial report on Model Town tragedy and national politics. The Pakistan Awami Tehreek has called the APC at Minhajul Quran Secretariat on Dec 30. PTI, Pakistan People’s Party, Awami Muslim League, Pakistan Muslum League-Q and PSP have already confirmed their full support on Dr Qadri’s demand of resignation of the Punjab chief minister and provincial law minister Rana Sanaullah.
