KASUR: Lesco officials Tuesday thrashed and injured SE Abdul Latif Anjum after an exchange of arguments.
The SE told police that he suspended Kot Radha Kishan line superintendent Muhammad Waris Bhullar on the charges of corruption. He said the union activists tried to force him to reinstate Bhullar but he refused and on Monday, union officials Tajamal, Abid and Faseh visited his office and forced him to reinstate Bhullar. He said he was sitting in his official vehicle when the Lesco officials intercepted him and exchanged harsh words with him, and later they manhandle him and forcibly took him to his office and snatched papers regarding the reinstatement of Bhullar.
A/Division police registered a case against 50 Lesco officials. However, no arrest has been made till the filing of the news story. The Lesco officials continued their strike against the SE.
