Two TTP men killed in Multan encounter
MULTAN: The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) killed two terrorists of defunct Tehrik -e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) during an encounter in Jalalpur Pirwala.
The CTD received information that six terrorists were planning a sabotage activity on late Thursday night. Following the information, heavy contingent of security personnel cordoned off the area but the terrorists started firing with heavy weapons.
The CTD also retaliated. As a result, two terrorists, including M Amjad, were killed on the spot while the others fled. The CTD team recovered one automatic rifle, one pistol and ammunition from them.
The Counter Terrorism Department sources claimed that the two terrorists were killed by the firing of their own accomplices. Killed terrorist M Ajmal and his five accomplices were wanted by the CTD in terrorism cases.
