SUKKUR: A policeman, in a marriage ceremony, had set his sister and a relative on fire here on Friday. Reports said that in the jurisdiction of A-Section Police Station Police, Mahboob Bhutto, in a marriage ceremony, had set his sister, Nosheen, and his relative, Arbelli Bibi, on fire. Relatives of the women rescued both victims and shifted them to the Sukkur Hospital, where Doctors advised them to shift them to Karachi because they were in a critical situation. Shahid, the brother Nosheen, told the police that his accused brother raised objection over someone’s attendance in the marriage ceremony. He further added that his brother asked Nosheen about who had invited those guests, which resulted into an argument, following which Mahboob burnt the victims. Subsequently, an FIR was registered against Mahboob Bhutto by his brother Shahid Ahmed Bhutto under Sections 324 and 504 of the Pakistan Penal Code. Police arrested the accused and started further investigation.
