The incessant downpour and hailstorm that lashed Karachi has produced an array of problems for residents. Most of these areas are ill-equipped to handle such erratic weather conditions. Various localities across the city have been inundated with rainwater. A large number of electric poles in Block 2, Gulistan-e-Johar need to be repaired on an urgent basis. Many of these electric poles have fallen and naked wires were dangling from them. Residents have found it difficult to navigate through the streets of the locality.
Action has yet to be taken to repair these wires. If suitable measures are not taken to address this issue, it could result in a potentially dangerous situation. The relevant authorities are requested to give priority to this issue and take prompt steps to resolve this matter with immediate effect.
