Our cricket team’s dismal performance in the World Cup is a manifestation of the general state of affairs of our country. The poor, entertainment-starved Pakistanis had only cricket left and now they have been deprived of this entertainment as well.
The whole world envies our talented spinners and in this format of the game, they would have surely proved handy. Why is Saeed Ajmal not in the squad? Why was Zulfiqar Babar dropped against the West Indies? Is Younis Khan included in the squad as a goodwill gesture of his age? And Nasir Jamshed surely looks like a random player with not much to offer for this format of the game.
