Tobacco use remains exceedingly high among the youth in Pakistan. Statistics have revealed that our country ranks first among the five countries where the tobacco usage remains rampant. Tobacco has led to the death of nearly six million people each year. Of these, almost 600,000 people die from second-hand smoking.
This has become a serious health challenge in the country. Tobacco products have a negative impact on people’s health and cause mouth and lung cancer. The government is requested to introduce strict restriction on the sale of tobacco.
