Cop among three dead in accidents

Three people, including a police constable, died in separate accidents reported on Tuesday.

According to rescue sources, 35-year-old police constable, Perwaiz, succumbed to his injuries after he was hit by a speeding car in the Sharafi Goth, Bagh-e-Korangi area.

The body was shifted to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for medico-legal formalities.

In another accident, a woman, whose identity could not be ascertained immediately, lost her life after she was hit by a speeding vehicle near Noorani Kabab House. The woman was said be in her 50s and the body shifted to the JPMC for an autopsy.

The third victim was an 18-yaer-old boy, Hamad Shakeel, who perished in a road crash on Aisha Manzil Bridge. The body was shifted to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for an autopsy.
