A ‘Mehfil-e-Milad’ was arranged at Islamabad Model College for Girls (PG), F-7/4, to pay tribute to Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him), says a press release.
Among the distinguished guests were ex-principals and faculty members of college including Khalida Makhdoom, Nikhat Moazzam Ali, Qaiserah Alvi and Yasmeen Bukhari invited on the occasion.
Principal Ms Saleha Jabeen, faculty members and students were present on the occasion. The function was started with Quran Khawani followed by the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran. Students along with the audiences recited Durud-o Salam and Naat in reward to the Holy Prophet (PBUH).
Ms Iffat Khalid, associate professor, Department of Islamic Studies, on the occasion shed light on different aspects of holy life and teachings of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). “They said that entire life of Holy Prophet is a beacon of light for Muslim ummah. Holy Prophet (PBUH) is the best role model to follow. The best can be achieved by practicing the footsteps of Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and teaching of the Holy Quran, we can be successful in this life and life after death in this way.
At the end college faculty along with students prayed for peace, progress and prosperity of the country and entire Muslim Ummah. Sweets were distributed among guests, students, teaching and non-teaching staff members.
