New Mozang police station inaugurated

LAHORE: CCPO Cap ® Muhammad Amin Wains has inaugurated a new building of Mozang Police Station.

Old building was unable to provide safe working environment to cops; that’s why officers were facing problems in their routine official matters. SSP Admin Rana Ayaz Saleem, Member of Punjab Assembly Majid Zahoor, SP Civil Lines Syed Ali Raza, DSP Old Anarkali circle Pervaiz Butt, SHO PS Mozang SI Kashif Yousuf and others were also there.

The CCPO said police station is a sign of calm to provide justice to people and worst for criminals. If elected representatives cooperate with local police we can build a new picture of changed “Thana Culture”. Petty issues of the area can be resolved by Alternate Dispute Resolution (ADR) but this is not possible without the help of the local respectable and elected representatives. Police station should also play vital role in sending the petty issues to the ADR. Citizens should be aware of any suspected activity and inform local police immediately. I appreciate SSP Admin and SP Civil Lines for the early construction of this building, he added.

TRAFFIC RULES: Chief Traffic Officer Lahore SSP Rai Ijaz Ahmad has said that citizens should play important role in ensuring smooth flow by following traffic rules. All traffic wardens of city have been directed to implement traffic rules with full authority. Traffic wardens should use mega phones to educate citizens about traffic rules. City traffic police is working day and night to take all necessary initiatives to provide best road facilities for citizens. SPs should monitor the crackdown in all sectors against wrong parking, driving without seat belt and helmet. On the directive of Chief Traffic Officer Rai Ijaz Ahmad, the second batch of lady traffic wardens is getting IT training at Arfa Kareem Tower. Thirty lady traffic wardens are taking part in this training. Rai Ijaz Ahmad said that all traffic wardens posted at offices will be trained by PITB officers. Time and money will be saved after IT training to traffic wardens. Officers of PITB are training these 30 lady traffic wardens. The basic purpose of this course is to enhance the capabilities of CTPL.

SPU team returns: Under leadership of SP Headquarters Ali Mohsin, a delegation of the Special Protection Unit (SPU )has come back from a 10-day visit to China. During the visit, security of CPEC projects and increasing Pak China cooperation and other matters came under discussion. During the visit, SP HQrs Ali Mohsin called on senior officers of China's foreign and interior ministries and discussed the issues of security arrangements of different projects in Pakistan.
