Three people, including a minor boy, were killed in road accidents on Sunday.
Basit, 20, and his friend, Rehan, were going on a motorcycle when reckless a speeding vehicle ran them over near the Saba Avenue in Defence Society.
Both the injured were rushed to the JPMC in critical condition, however, Basit breathed his last on the way to the hospital.
In another incident, Badal was going on a bicycle when a hit and run vehicle ran over him near the Singer Chowrangi in Korangi Industrial Area.
Ten-year-old Abdul Rehman was knocked down to death by a speeding while he was crossing the road near the Ayesha Manzil.
Despite repeated campaigns to spread road safety awareness among motorists, the traffic police have been unable to curb the high number of road mishaps in the city.
