Minister meets industrialists

KARACHI: Sindh Minister for Industries and Commerce Manzoor Hussain Wassan has said that industries established after 1991 will be re-registered, while installation of effluent treatment plants has been made mandatory for them, a statement said.
During a meeting with the industrialists on the Industries Registration Act 2017 in Sindh Secretariat on Tuesday, the minister said after approval of the act, no new industry would be installed without the permission of the ministry, it added.
Installing effluent treatment plant would be mandatory for the new industries, while treated water will be used for agriculture purposes. Industries Registration Act 2017 will be moved in the cabinet and later to the parliament for approval, he added.
