LAHORE JAMAAT-E-ISLAMI Ameer Sirajul Haq left for Saudi Arabia on Saturday to participate in the Rabita al-Alam-e-Islami conference beginning at Holy Makkah on Sunday (today). He is accompanied by JI Azad Kashmir Ameer Abdur Rashid Turabi, and JI Foreign Affairs Chief Abdul Ghaffar Aziz. Sirajul Haq will address the Rabita al-Alam-e-Islami moot which will continue for four days. He will also perform Umrah along with his wife during a weeklong stay in the holy land. Meanwhile, JI Secretary General Liaqat Baloch took oath as an Acting Ameer of the party during the absence of Sirajul Haq. Meanwhile, JI Acting Ameer Liaqat Baloch expressed profound grief and shock over the death of eight workers including four brothers because of electrocution near Muzaffargarh. Doctors: Pakistan Medical Association (PMA), Lahore, has said that senior faculty of medical institutions is facing serious insecurity threats. “This act of condemnation by PMA and MS Mayo Hospital and Vice-Chancellor KEMU is not enough but an inquiry should also be conducted immediately and the responsible be brought to book,” said office-bearers of the PMA during a meeting at the PMA House Lahore, which was chaired by President PMA Lahore Dr. Tanveer Anwar. Besides, Dr. Ashraf Nizami, Dr. Shahid Malik, Dr. Izhar Ahmad Ch, Dr. Kamran Saeed, Dr. Asma Yasin, Dr. Talha Sherwani, and Dr. Iram Shahzadi attended the meeting.
