An unidentified man was shot dead in Baghdadi area of Lyari late on Saturday night.
According to the Baghdadi police, the victim had been walking in the street when unidentified armed men riding a motorcycle shot at him and fled.
The victim was rushed to Civil hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. His age was estimated to be between 30 and 32 years and he had received bullet wounds in the chest. The police could not ascertain the motive behind the killing.

Robbers kill man
A 25-year-old man was killed by muggers near Salman Tower, Malir 15, police said.
Kashif Khan was standing at the scene when two men riding a motorcycle tried to snatch his cell phone.
When Khan put up resistance, the muggers shot and wounded him and fled. The injured was taken to Jinnah Hospital where he died.

Fifteen arrested
Rangers arrested 15 suspects including members of banned outfits in targeted raids across the city on Saturday.
A spokesman said the paramilitary force raided the hideouts of Tehreek-e-Taliban Swat (TTS) in Qasba Colony and Ittehad Town and arrested six terrorists with weapons, including sub-machine guns.
Raids were also conducted in Keamari on the hideouts of criminals involved in Lyari gang war. Seven notorious gangsters were arrested with weapons.
Rangers also rescued an abducted man after a five-hour raid near Al-Asif Square. Jawad had been abducted in FB Area and the kidnappers were demanding Rs2 million for his release.
