Aamir wins 30th KP Snooker Championship

PESHAWAR: Aamir Shehzad of Azad Jammu and Kashmir upset international Shah Khan of Peshawar 5-1 in the final to win the 30th Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Men’s Snooker Championship at the Makan Bagh Sports Complex in Mingora (Swat) on Thursday.
Aamir dominated the proceedings and comfortably won 85-7, 92-24, 104-0, 105-5, 22-87, 90-6. His victory included breaks of 104 (third frame), 66, 72 and 88. Shah Khan, a national ranking player, recorded a break of 71 in the fourth frame.
Former sports minister and vice president of the Pakistan Olympic Association Syed Aqil Shah was the chief guest on this occasion. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Snooker and Billiards Association President Zulfiqar Ali Butt, Secretary Advocate Aamir Sabir, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Badminton Association President Zafar Ali Khan, officials and a large number of spectators were present in the indoor hall to witness the final.
