Chinese university team visits NUML

Islamabad: A seven members’ delegation from Guangdong University of Foreign Studies (GUFS) China led by Sui Guangjun, Chairman of University Board & President visited National University of Modern Languages (NUML) here, says a press release.
During the visit the delegates met with the NUML Rector Major General (r) Zia Uddin Najam and visited various departments of the varsity. NUML Director General Brig Muhammad Ibrahim, registrar, directors, deans and heads of departments also present on the occasion.
During the one on one meeting with NUML rector, the president Guangdong University Sui Guangjun said that NUML is playing extraordinary role in promoting Chinese language and culture in Pakistan and GUFS is keen to enhance the students exchange programme and start joint research initiatives with NUML to further extend the relations between two countries. He briefed the NUML rector about the GUFS in detail and discussed the possible cooperation in different field.
Rector NUML in his address welcomed the worthy guests and said that Pakistan and China have deep cordial relations. He said NUML has various MoUs with different Chinese institutes/universities already and Varsity will keen to have with GUFS also to promote the educational relations between two countries.
The rector said that NUML can assist GUFS to teach Urdu to Chinese students via online classes. He also suggested the GUFS president that NUML can help them by providing supervisors and evaluators for their Management Sciences programme.
