LAHORE PAKISTAN Awami Tehreek Chief Dr Tahirul Qadri has alleged that government distributed over Rs12 billion as bribe for development projects only to win the coming Senate elections which amounts to pre-poll rigging, asking the Chief Election Commissioner to take notice of that if he had any powers. Addressing a Central Working Committee meeting Friday on telephone from US, he said that workers should get ready for Local Bodies elections while preparing for the intra-party elections. He said purchase of loyalties was one of the reasons people had lost trust in democratic system. He said PAT and Minhajul Quran were being victimised. He said the time was not far when the dirty faces of the killers of Model Town incident would be exposed and the whole world would see the criminal face of government and its representatives. He stressed on the need of single command and control system to end terror. He said the federal and provincial governments had a soft corner for terrorists and were working against national action plan. He said those claiming to bring back looted money from Swiss Banks had themselves shifted Rs500 billion to Dubai during the last one and a half year, and purchased huge properties there. He said in near future PAT would have a major role to play in national politics and asked workers to prepare for the final battle against this cruel system and these corrupt rulers. He said police was protecting the killers of both Model Town tragedy and Karachi factory fire, adding that people would have to be responsible for their own safety. He said every city of the country was under terrorism. He said in the past 18 months government did not release a single penny for development projects and now suddenly releasing billions of rupees only to bribe parliamentarians for Senate elections. He said the both government and the Opposition had plundered massive amounts of money. He said the FIA and NAB should publish the list of these people who have taken money out of the country.
