Siraj for joint efforts against terror menace

PESHAWAR: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) head Sirajul Haq on Sunday asked Pakistan and Afghanistan to work together to end the scourge of terrorism in the region. He was talking to reporters after visiting those who were injured in Friday's attack on the Agriculture Training Institute sited opposite the University of Peshawar. Sirajul Haq condemned the killing of innocent people and appreciated the efforts of the security forces for taking action against the terrorists.
He added the US was promoting terrorism in the region to support India. The JI leader said that India helped terrorists to enter Pakistan in a bid to strain relations between Pakistan and Afghanistan. Noting that the issue of terrorism couldn’t be solved in the presence of US forces in Afghanistan, he said Pakistan should make it clear to American that Islamabad cannot follow the diktats of Washington.
Meanwhile, Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Sirajul Haq has said that pulpit should be used to promote love and brotherhood among the Muslims. Addressing a workshop for the Ulema and the Khatibs at Mansoora, he said those spreading hatred and bias were ignorant of the teachings of Islam as a universal and collective system. He said the Seerat of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) taught good dealings even with the enemy.
However, he said, that Allah Almighty enjoined awarding stringent punishments to the mischief makers.Sirajul Haq said that in order to build Pakistan according to the vision of the Quaid-e-Azam, it was imperative to struggle for Nizam-e-Mustafa so that the problems of poverty, ignorance, price spiral and unemployment could be solved.
