LAHORE: Two terrorists were killed during a shootout with Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) in Gujrat and seized arms and explosives, said a spokesman on Wednesday. According to the CTD spokesman, the CTD received information Wednesday evening that five terrorists belonging to the TTP [Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan] were moving towards the Gujrat city to target the officials of a sensitive agency. The CTD conducted an intelligence-based operation in the area of Gorali village and warned the terrorists to surrender, but they started indiscriminate firing, triggering an encounter. When the firing stopped, two terrorists were found dead, killed by bullets of their own accomplices. The items seized by the CTD included 1.5 kilogrammes of explosives, one 8mm rifle, one 30-bore pistol, safety fuse, detonators and cartridges.
