A junior official of India’s Border Security Force (BSF) named Chanderbhan has been killed by a colleague in District Bandipora of Occupied Kashmir when he refused to fire pellets on Kashmiri children, demanding removal of army posts next to their school.
According to authentic details made available to The News, quoting a BSF man Ram Krishna, Chanderbhan was ordered by his officer to fire pellets on the protesting Kashmiri children but he refused to obey the command, simultaneously stating that these innocent schoolchildren were like his own children and that he could feel the pain of losing his own 10-year-old son.
At this juncture i.e. on his refusal to fire pellets, one of his colleagues present inside the army camp, Ravinder Singh son of Chattar Singh, resident of Village Dildar in District Kupwara, shot Chanderbhan dead on the spot.
It has also been reported that as eyewash, the Indian authorities have lodged an FIR No 163/2017 against the assailant from amongst BSF ranks. Bandipora is one of the 22 districts in Jammu and Kashmir state that has been facing Indian subjugation and oppression for the last seven decades. This district is located on the northern banks of Wullar – the second largest fresh water lake in Asia.
