‘Naat’ competition held

Islamabad: In connection with the celebrations of Eid-Milad-un-Nabi (Peace Be upon Him) seminar on ‘Seerat’, competition of ‘Naat’, speeches and quiz competitions are being organised by National Council of Social Welfare (NCSW) during Rabi-ul-Awwal, says a press release.
In this connection competition of speeches/debates on ‘Seert’ and ‘Naat Khwani’ among the students of Islamabad’s colleges & schools was organised in the Library Hall of NCSW, Islamabad.
NCSW Chairman Dr. Nadeem Shafiq Malik, chaired the events while Tahira Ahmed, secretary Pakistan Girls Guide Association of Pakistan and Professor Ehsan Akbar renowned scholar, researcher and poet were the Chief Guests. Representatives of Civil Society, NGOs, students, other stakeholders and large number of youth attended the competition event.
In the end, cash prizes and certificates were distributed among the position holders, Aysha Ishtiaq got first position, Fariha Sultan second and Danish Islam got third position in speeches/debates competition. Similarly, Ms. Sana Shahzadi got first position, Aila Malik, got second position and Syed Kashif Munir got third position in Naat competition.
