33 foreign players in Begum Kulsum ITF Futures

KARACHI: As many as 33 foreign players have entered their names to play Begum Kulsum Saifullah ITF Futures Championships in Islamabad from December 11-17.
According to the acceptance list of the main draw, all 17 players are foreigners. They are: Ivan Nedelko, Markos Kalovelonis, Kristian Lozan, and Shalva Dzhanashia from Russia; Enrique Lopez-Perez, David Perez Sanz and Pere Riba from Spain; Thomas Brechemier from France, Jayesh Pungliya, Kunal Anand and Chandril Sood from India; Julian Onken from Germany; Peter Goldsteiner from Austria; Alexander Lebedyn and Vadim Alekseenko from Ukraine; Kelsey Stevenson from Canada; and Ivan Krivic from Croatia.
The foreign players in the qualifying draw are: Anurag Nenwani, Paramveer Singh, Jatin Dahiya, Taha Kapadia, Rishi Reddy, Ominder Baisoya, Ajay Pruthvi, and Lakshit Sood from India; Ivan Ponomarenko, Nikolay Vylegzhanin, and Dmitry Myagkov from Russia; Luka Pavlovic from France; Ergi Kirkin from Turkey; Roy Hobbs from Singapore; Chun-Ming Yam from Hong Kong; and Tegbir Singh from Canada.
The Pakistani players in the qualifying draw are Samir Iftikhar, Aqeel Khan, Muzammil Murtaza, Shahzad Khan, Heera Ashiq, Yasir Khan, Ahmed Choudhary, Mudassar Murtaza, and Usman Rafique.
It is pertinent to mention here that 186 players withdrew their names from F-1 Futures and 190 players withdrew from F-2 Futures. The third ITF Futures-F3 is Benazir Bhutto Shaheed to be played from December 18-24. The prize money of each Tournament will be $15,000. The main draws in Futures are for 32 players in singles, and 16 pairs in doubles. The qualifying round for singles is also for 32 players.
