Youth shot dead in Haripur

HARIPUR: A youth was shot dead in the limits of City Police Station over unknown reason on Wednesday morning.
Police quoted Saeeda Bibi, mother of the deceased, as saying that her son Umar Shafqat, 18, resident of village Koka, was working as a salesman on Hi Tech CNG.
On Wednesday morning at around 6am, four men identified as Asim, Zahir Shah, Ishtiaq and Ameen came and allegedly opened fire, killing him on the spot.
Relatives of the deceased staged a protest and blocked the road, suspending the traffic flow for half an hour.
They were demanding the arrest of all the accused nominated in the FIR. However, they were dispersed peacefully when police official assured to arrest all the accused.
