Kamil, Esha win Punjab junior tennis titles

LAHORE: Ahmed Kamil and Esha Jawad won Chief Minster Independence Day Punjab Junior Tennis Championship titles for boys and girls respectively here at PLTA Tennis Courts on Thursday. Ahmed Kamil of Lahore won two titles of Under-18 final and Under-16. A 15- year old kid played some good tennis and beat top seed opponent in the final. Chief guest of the concluding ceremony was Minster for Sports Punjab Jahangir Khanzada. Also present on the occasion were Secretary PLTA Rashid Malik, Faheem Siddique, Sohail Raza, Kh Tayyab. In boys U-18 main final, second seed Ahmed Kamil beat top seed Hafiz Arbab Ali 6-4, 6-4.
In Under-18 Girls final, Esha Jawad beat Maha Saeed 6-1, 6-1. In Under- 16 boys final, Ahmed Kamil beat Musta Haroon 6-3, 6-4. In under 14 match, a very tough game was seen in which Abdul Hanan Khan beat Adil Khan by 5-3, 5-4. Abdul Hanan kept his nerves and won the final in the end. In under-12 final Hassan Ali beat Bilal Asim 9-7. In under-10 final Ehtesham Humayun beat Ameer Hamaza 8-1 and won the final.
