PM, army chief to leave for Saudi Arabia tomorrow
Islamabad: Prime Minister and the army chief will leave for Saudi Arabia tomorrow (Tuesday). Sources said ISI chief Lt-Gen Naveed Mukhtar will also accompany the premier and COAS.
Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi will meet the Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman and other top officials. They will discuss the bilateral relations, including the security situation of the region. It is pertinent to mention that Foreign Minister Kh Asif and Chief of General Staff Gen Bilal Akbar had also visited Saudi Arabia last month.
They had participated in a high-level Saudi-led alliance meeting against terrorism in Riyadh. Saudi Arabia is passing through a critical era of its history. Several princes and ministers have been arrested on corruption charges.
It is reminded that the first meeting of Islamic Alliance against terrorism is being held on November 26 in Riyadh. According to foreign news agencies, the agenda of the meeting is to unite against terrorism. The meeting will be attended by defence ministers of 41 member countries and representatives of diplomatic missions.
