Islamabad edge out Faisalabad in National T20

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad edged out Faisalabad in a last ball thriller to strengthen their position on points table in the National T20 Cricket Championship at the Pindi Stadium Saturday.
Islamabad required three runs on the last two deliveries, one on the last ball. Pacer Mohammad Irfan (3 not out) managed to give Islamabad exciting win.
Faisalabad scored 170 for 7 in 20 overs with Islamabad surpassing the target on the last ball for the loss of eight wickets.
Consistent Sahibzada Farhan (43) and Sohaib Maqsood (38) served well for Faisalabad. Adil Amin (4-27) was the pick of bowlers for Islamabad.
Talented Saad Ali (52) and Adil Amin (35) were brilliant for Islamabad with bat. Adil was declared combined player of the match along with Taj Wali.
Taj Wali (3-30), who took two wickets in his last over, bowled well for Peshawar.
Islamabad, Faisalabad and two Lahore teams, Blues and Whites, have five points each and are occupying top positions on the table.
