UK national held for bombing threats From Our Correspondent OKARA: A British national was arrested for threatening to resort to bombings if police did not ban dogfight. District Police Officer Faisal Rana received a phone call from a person that if he did not ban dogfight in Haveli Lakha he would explode a bomb anywhere in the district. Similar phone calls were also received by the Faisalabad RPO, and the DPOs of Jhang, Jhelum and Bahawalpur. The Okara DPO constituted a police team, which traced the phone call and arrested accused Haq Nawaz from Dhoke Kangar, Jhelum district. The culprit claimed that he was a British national and his family resided in England. He owned 250 acres land in Pakistan. He was booked under the Anti-Terrorism Act. The DPO decided to send his record to the British Embassy.
Class 4 student recovered From Our Correspondent OKARA: A class 4 student was recovered at City Bypass on Monday. People spotted a weeping girl, who told them that unidentified people had kidnapped her from Faisalabad when she was returning from her school. They brought her to Okara and locked her in a factory. She said that she got a chance and escaped from there. To it, the people informed police, who rushed to the spot and took the girl into custody. She gave mobile phone numbers of her father and uncle in Faisalabad, which were off. However, police are trying to contact her family through other means.
