Doctors strike against colleague’s murder

MULTAN: On the call of the Young Doctors Association, doctors on Monday observed complete strike at OPDs of all public sector hospitals against the killing of senior doctor Samiullah Chughtai.
Talking to The News, YDA president Dr Kabir said that the YDA would observe strike across the province against the alleged police failure in providing security to the doctors. He said that the YDA would continue strike after 11am for an indefinite period till provision of security to the doctors. On Sunday, Dr Samiullah was on way home when some unidentified assailants shot him dead in Sahiwal.
PARAMEDICS RALLY: The All Pakistan Paramedics Staff Association has announced February 16 as their National Day.
The paramedics led by APPSA president AD Kanwal took out a rally from the Children Complex. They demanded Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif fulfil his commitment made with the paramedics regarding implementation of service structure. They said that the service structure had been implemented in 20 districts of the province, except south Punjab districts.
