The Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah directed the authorities concerned on Monday to expedite work on low-cost housing schemes and other development projects in Khairpur and finish them in two months.
Presiding over a meeting to review the progress of development projects, the chief minister constituted a committee headed by chief secretary Sajjad Saleem Hotiyana, additional chief secretary for planning and development Muhammad Wasim and deputy commissioner Khairpur as its members to ensure early completion of the projects.
The chief minister on the occasion also directed the chief secretary and Anti-Corruption Establishment to take indiscriminate action over any delay in the projects.
He said he would personally visit each project site to review the progress.
The projects consultants briefed him about the progress and promised that the remaining work will be completed within four months.
The chief secretary informed the meeting that the Anti-Corruption Establishment was conducting an inquiry on a complaint filed by MNA Nafisa Shah.
