From Our Correspondent
JHANG: DBA general secretary Amir Naul has demanded the Punjab chief minister, the chief secretary, the Board of Revenue senior member and the LG&CD secretary make the state land inquiry report public.
Talking to newsmen here, he said that the inquiry was initiated on a resolution passed by the DBA. He said that the state land measuring 200 kanal worth billions of rupees was allotted to a UK-based businessman for establishing a factory some years ago. But the businessman sold the factory and land to a Karachi-based businessman. The DBA office-bearer said that the land was later sold to local businessmen, who were establishing a residential colony on it.
When contacted, Additional District Collector/TMA Administrator Babar Bashir said that the land status had been converted to residential from industrial on the orders of the Faisalabad commissioner.
