HAFIZABAD: A mass marriage ceremony was held in which 25 couples tied the knot here on Friday.
The ceremony was organised by a local NGO, which was attended by organiser of the ceremony Abdul Jabbar Raza, former federal minister Liaqat Abbas, former provincial minister Ch Shaukat Ali Bhatti, ex-district nazim Mubashar Bhatti and ex-MNA Ch Mehdi Hassan Bhatti. Various gifts were also presented to the bridegrooms.
10 HELD: City police on Friday raided a brothel and arrested 10 people, including five women, for objectionable activities.
On a tip-off, the police raided a brothel at Mohallah Sadabad and arrested the accused persons including Shehzad Ahmad, Abdul Rehman and Tariq. The police have registered a case.
